ALAMO, Texas – The City of Alamo invites members of the media and the public to attend a special double ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the official opening of the Alaniz-Villagomez All-Inclusive Park and the City’s second National Fitness Campaign Fitness Court.
Originally announced during the January 16, 2025 groundbreaking ceremony, the over $2 million Alaniz-Villagomez All-Inclusive Park project represents a major investment in inclusive recreation, health, and community wellness in eastern Hidalgo County. The first Fitness Court was installed at Lions Park. This new Fitness Court at Alaniz-Villagomez further expands free, accessible outdoor fitness opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities.
This ceremony will celebrate:
• The official opening of the Alaniz-Villagomez All-Inclusive Park
• The debut of Alamo’s second National Fitness Campaign Fitness Court
• Continued expansion of accessible recreation in the City of Alamo
