The McAllen Citizens League will host a political forum at its noon luncheon Thursday October 27th. The meeting will be held at the Salvation Army Center on 23rd street at Pecan in McAllen.
“Invitations have been sent to the candidates for State Representative District 41, Bobby Guerra & Hilda DeShazo, State Senate District 20, Juan Hinojosa &Velma Arellano and 13th Court of Appeals Greg Perks & Leticia Hinojosa”, said Christopher Julian, President of the League. We have confirmed attendance from Chuy Hinojosa, Bobby Guerra, Hilda DeShazo and Greg Perks.
The League’s forum format allows each candidate a two minute opening remarks & a one minute follow up. Once all candidates have spoken, questions from League members only will be fielded.
The meeting starts at noon and is open to the public. Lunch is available for $12 for members and $15 for non-members. Membership in the League is only $10 per year. Go to www.McAllenCitizensLeague.org for more information.
