McAllen Citizens League has invited the run-off candidates for the 449th State District Court, Incumbent Jesse Contreras and challenger Renee Betancourt to speak at their lunch meeting on Thursday, April 28th.
The meeting will be held at the Salvation Army Center located on 23rd and Pecan.
The political forum allows each candidate a two-minute introduction and a one-minute follow-up/rebuttal. After the candidates have spoken, they will answer questions that are submitted by League members only.
“This will be our last political forum for this for this election cycle”, said Christopher Julian, McAllen Citizens League president.
The meetings are open to the public and lunch is available for $12 for League members and $15 for non-members. Annual membership dues are only $10 a year. Go to www.McAllenCitizensLeague.org for more information.
