LAREDO, Texas – Laredo College celebrated its biggest event of the year alongside friends and partners who have been instrumental in furthering our legacy of excellence in the community.
Our 75th Anniversary Gala “West End Diamond Roundup” commemorated the 75 years of history and legacy of Laredo College as the city’s pioneering institution of higher learning.
The iconic Kazen Student Center was filled with community members and special guests. The stage was graced with the musical talent of Ross & Friends and a surprise performance by Tejano legend Pete Astudillo who is an LC alumnus.
Additionally, the college was honored with the attendance of LC alumna Consuelo Lopez. She received a surprise recognition for being part of the very first Laredo College class.
We would especially like to recognize our Diamond sponsors Killam Development and PNC Bank for their generosity and continuous support of Laredo College and our students. Their support, along with that of the more than 40 gala sponsors, was monumental in making this event a great success.
