McAllen, Tx – The McAllen Convention Center proudly host the Dia De Reyes Celebration in association with Junior’s Supermarket on Monday, January 6, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This event honors the holiday (Dia de Reyes) celebrated widely in Latino and Hispanic communities.
During this free celebration, families will be able to enjoy a slice of the traditional Rosca de Reyes (while supplies last), music by local musicians and a final stroll through the illuminated park of Santa’s Circle. With the help of Junior’s Supermarket this celebration will have the largest Rosca in the Rio Grande Valley measuring 56ft.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Additional to the Dia de Reyes Celebration programming happening on the McAllen Convention Center Campus include:
FRIO! (Final Day) – a Winter Fiesta full of thrills, fun and magical memory-making moments for the whole family located in McAllen, the official South Pole of Texas. Attraction at FRIO! includes Pingüino Plunge an indoor ice mountain, Santa’s Snowball Toss, build your own snowman, decorate gingerbread in a life-sized gingerbread house, ice skating, marvel at dazzling holiday lights, one-of-a-kind photo-ops and much more.

Santa’s Circle (Final Day) – McAllen’s Oval Park will transform into Santa’s Circle, with giant, illuminated holiday and character displays that people will be able to walk into for photos or a magical experience unlike any other. The displays will also debut on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, and run throughout January 6, 2020, and will be free for all to enjoy.
