EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently announced the creation of a Border Patrol Processing Coordinator position designed to perform administrative tasks related to the intake and processing of individuals apprehended by Border Patrol agents. The position will also assume responsibilities for transporting individuals and property in Border Patrol custody, as well as a custodial watch of detainees in hospitals.
The creation of this position is a direct result of last year’s humanitarian mission Border Patrol had to undertake. With the addition of these new positions, Border Patrol Agents will now be more readily available on the frontline securing this nation’s border.
