Mission, Texas – The students at Cavazos Elementary School have been busy this year reading their way to the top. The campus was honored at the recent UT-Rio Grande Valley Festival of International Books and Arts (FESTIBA) celebration. During the community event, Cavazos Elementary was recognized as a “Top Reader”, for their high reading scores and for the campus leader’s efforts in furthering lifetime reading skills.
The awards were a part of an afternoon and evening of family-friendly events that included the awards, musical performances, children’s activities, book displays, book distributions, children’s plays and storytellers, and artists.
