On Saturday, November 9, 2019, CARITAS and Rotary International clubs of McAllen South, McAllen Rotary Club, Edinburg Rotary Club, and McAllen Evening Club will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish in McAllen, Texas to distribute New Running Shoes to over 1,400 children from the McAllen area. The McAllen South Rotary Club will also feed hot dogs to the first 1,000 kids.  Face painting and a book drive have also been added to the event.

The distribution will be from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 pm at the parish hall located at 2209 Kendlewood Ave., McAllen, Texas.

Each year, Caritas and Rotary Partners raise the funds to purchase the new running shoes to be distributed. The Rotary Clubs apply for District Grants that are granted to support local projects related to the foundation’s mission that advance goodwill, the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.
