Cameron County will close all operations on Tuesday, January 21st, and reopen with a delayed start at 10:00 am CST on Wednesday, January 22nd. For international travelers, Gateway, Veterans and Free Trade Bridge will remain open with normal business operations.
The Cameron County Judge’s Office of Emergency Management & Fire Marshal Service is closely monitoring the ongoing weather conditions. It remains in communication with the National Weather Service, the State of Texas, area municipalities and power companies. “I want to ensure you and your loved ones are safe and keep warm. We will continue to work across all levels of communication, including the National Weather Service, cities, warming shelters, water and electric utility companies, and more, to monitor the inclement weather conditions forecasted and keep you informed. Please remain vigilant of any updates in the city where you reside,” stated Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr.
