BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Helen Ramirez, ICMA-CM, AICP, City Manager of Brownsville, will be thefeatured guest of the upcoming Women in Leadership Signature Series, hosted by the Turknett Leadership Group (TLG). This prestigious event will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 7:00 AM CST via Zoom. The online conversation is open to the community, and attendees can register at Webinar Registration – Zoom.

The series, now in its 21st year, provides a platform for accomplished women leaders to share theirjourneys, challenges, and insights. Anne Quiello, Senior Consultant, Executive Coach, and Host of Womenin Leadership, will guide the discussion, delving into topics that highlight Ms. Ramirez’s unique experiences and vision for Brownsville.

During the event, Ms. Ramirez will discuss her historic appointment as the first female, first Latina CityManager of Brownsville, the 18th largest City in Texas; and one of two Hispanic City Managers in the Top 20 Cities in the State. She will reflect on her leadership journey, influences, and the distinctive perspective she brings to her role.
