PHARR, Texas – PSJA North Early College High School (PSJA North ECHS) senior Jordan Brewster officially signed his letter of commitment to Nelson University on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Brewster, surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and teammates, celebrated his decision to continue his athletic and academic journey at the next level. He received 18 full-ride scholarship offers and 86 partial offers before selecting Nelson University, where he will major in Sports Business Management with a minor in Sports Communication.

Throughout his high school career, Brewster earned numerous accolades for his performance. He was ranked #4 on The Monitor’s list of Top Football Players in the Rio Grande Valley, named to the McDonald’s All-South Texas Football Team, and received Honorable Mention All-District honors. As a junior, he was selected as a Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Honorable Mention, recognized as TexPrep’s #1 Offensive Lineman in South Texas for the Class of 2025, and earned multiple All-District and All-Area honors.

In addition to football, Brewster is a well-rounded student-athlete, competing as a three-year letterman in both Powerlifting and Track and Field while also being an active member of PSJA North’s ECHS Theatre Program, performing in numerous Children’s Show Productions.
“Jordan has been a tremendous leader for our program, and we couldn’t be prouder of him,” said PSJA North Head Football Coach Marcus Kaufmann. “His hard work and dedication both on and off the field have earned him this incredible opportunity, and we know he will continue to make us proud at the next level.”
