EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley arrested two MS-13 gang members this weekend.
Friday night, McAllen agents arrested a group of seven subjects who were illegally entering the United States, near La Joya, Texas. Among the subjects, was Juan Armando Baires-Navarrete, a Honduran national. Record checks identified Baires-Navarrete as a member of the Mara Salvatrucha gang.
Saturday evening, McAllen agents apprehended three illegal aliens near Sullivan City, Texas. One of the subjects was identified as Josue Isai Cruz-Del Cid, a Salvadorian national. Criminal record checks further revealed Cruz-Del Cid is an MS-13 gang member.
Border Patrol is processing both subjects accordingly.
