The Boys & Girls Club of Pharr held its annual Trunk or Treat event for families of the community. This festive evening was produced by the organization to provide families and individuals of all ages with a safe and fun fall experience. Just over 1,500 were in attendance and some even brought along their family pet to enjoy the night’s activities.

From 7:30p.m. –  9p.m., the organization filled the parking lot of its Main Unit, 1026 S Fir St, with fun attractions for attendees including creative trunks, candy, photo opportunities, and inflatable moon jumps. The intricately decorated trunks competed for the winning title as guests were able to cast votes for their favorite. Among the themes were Toy Story, Christmas in October, Candy Land and more. Local businesses and organizations such as the Pharr Police Department, the Pharr Fire Department, Arcade Dental, The Tooth Place, Wells Fargo, Idea – Pharr, Crunch Fitness, Kiwanis Club, and more also hosted their trunks in support of the event. Thousands of treats were distributed, endless fun was had, and the sense of community was elevated as family and friends enjoyed the evening together.

Boys and Girls Club of Pharr would like to thank HessAir, B2Z Engineering, IBC Bank, Justice of the peace Jaime “Jerry” Munoz, Terracon Consulting Engineers & Scientists, Sylvan Learning Center, Texas Regional Bank, Vic’s Auto Rebuilders, Precinct 2 County Commissioner Eddie Cantu, and Ronnie Cantu for generously donating candy for Trunk or Treat 2019. These contributions helped ensure it was a great and safe event.
