Falfurrias, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents disrupted a narcotics smuggling attempt resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine.Â
Saturday night, agents working at the Falfurrias, Texas checkpoint referred a Toyota pickup truck to secondary to conduct an immigration inspection on its passengers. During the inspection, a Border Patrol K-9 positively alerted to the pickup truck, which revealed six bundles of methamphetamine, weighing more than 56 pounds, worth an estimated $1.75M dollars.
Border Patrol turned the narcotics and smugglers over to Homeland Security Investigations.
