Border Patrol Launches “Operation Stand Up”, an Anti-Bullying Program for the 2019-2020 School Year

MCALLEN, Texas – Throughout the Rio Grande Valley Sector, Border Community Liaison (BCL) agents continue to provide support for local community events and outreach programs. 

On Friday, November 1, 2019, Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol Community Liaison agents launched an Anti-bullying Program titled “Operation Stand Up” at Dr. Pablo Perez Elementary in McAllen, Texas. 

“Operation Stand Up” is an anti-bullying initiative aimed at educating students about the negative effects associated with bullying. The goal of this initiative is to reduce and eliminate bullying. Through video, powerpoint, and interactive examples we demonstrated the effects bullying can have on students’ self-esteem.
