EDINBURG, Texas – Since Friday, Border Patrol agents seized more than $500K worth of narcotics in four separate incidents.
On Saturday, Weslaco agents near Pharr, Texas, arrested four suspected drug smugglers just north of the Rio Grande. As agents searched the immediate area for additional people, they discovered multiple bundles of marijuana in the brush. The marijuana weighed nearly 158 pounds and is valued at over $126K. The subjects were processed accordingly.
Additionally, agents seized more than 468 pounds of marijuana and over 1 pound of methamphetamine in three separate incidents. The drugs seized have a combined value of nearly $431K.
