Texas Border Business
EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol Agents from Rio Grande Valley Sector participated in multiple 36th Annual National Night Out (NNO) events in different communities throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
NNO is a crime and drug prevention event held in communities around the country and a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Border Patrol agents participated at NNO events in Mission, McAllen, Donna, Weslaco, Kingsville, and Falfurrias, Texas to enhance the relationship between the agency and local residents.
Agents displayed Border Patrol vehicles, boats, dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and the Horse Patrol Unit. They provided participants an opportunity to speak with the agents trained in the use of the specialized assets. Agents handed out Junior Border Patrol agent badge stickers and coloring books to the kids at the events.
