Border Patrol Agents Arrest Two Gang Members

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a Tango Blast and a Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member. 

Yesterday morning, McAllen Border Patrol Station agents apprehended a group of individuals shortly after illegally entering the United States. Record checks for a Mexican national identified a man as a Tango Blast gang member, who has a previous removal from the United States.

That afternoon, Harlingen Border Patrol Station agents apprehended a group of 11 individuals near Raymondville, Texas. The subjects were taken into custody and transported to the station.  At the station, one of the subjects, a Salvadoran national admitted to being an MS-13 gang member and has extensive criminal history and four previous removals from the United States.

Border Patrol processed the subjects accordingly.

Even with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, human smugglers continue to try these brazen attempts with zero regard for the lives they endanger nor to the health of the citizens of our great nation.  The U.S. Border Patrol agents of the Rio Grande Valley Sector will continue to safeguard the nation and community against these criminal elements.
