McAllen, Texas – BBVA Compass has appointed Leslie Bingham to its Lower Rio Grande Valley advisory board and Alex Meade to its Upper Rio Grande Valley advisory board, where they will help the bank identify opportunities in a market known for its fast-growing business and economic prosperity.

Bingham is the current CEO of Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville, holding the position since 2006, shortly after her stint as the Chief Operation Officer. Meade is the CEO of the Mission Economic Development Corporation, playing a key role in the City’s and Organization’s growth and success.

“Both of our new directors bring a new and welcomed dimension to our advisory board,” said BBVA Compass Texas Border & Gulf Coast Region CEO Jon Rebello. “Leslie’s experience in the healthcare industry’s operations is going to be a pivotal part for the bank’s business since this area is well-known for its medical care. Alex and his team have partnered with BBVA Compass many times for initiatives aimed at elevating the Rio Grande Valley economically, so having him on our board was something that has been a long time coming. Our new directors know this area extremely well, and BBVA Compass is excited to have them aboard to guide us in the right direction towards further success.”
