LAREDO, Texas— The City of Laredo’s Council Member for District 4, Alberto Torres, Jr., will be visiting several elementary schools on Friday, August 19 to deliver backpacks and school supplies to students. All supplies were collected during a Back 2 School Concert, hosted by Council Member Torres, on Friday, July 29.
A total of 1,000 backpacks with school supplies will be distributed to students that are enrolled in ten schools around the area. Council Member Torres will visit three schools on Friday, August 19. Media can attend any of the following schools for coverage:

- 11:00 A.M. – Henry B. Zachry Elementary School, 3200 Chacota St, Laredo, TX 78046
- 11:30 A.M. – J Z Leyendecker Elementary, 1311 Garden St, Laredo, TX 78040
