Laredo College presents the only theatre play on screen

The Laredo College Opera Workshop returns with a musical comedy that will fill the Laredo College Guadalupe and Lilia Martinez Fine Arts Center with laughter. The laughter will continue with a slight twist; this play will premiere on the screens of the location where it was filmed.

Hidalgo County drainage system functioning well after early week rain deluge

While a series of downpours in the Rio Grande Valley earlier this week brought up to nine inches of rain in parts of Hidalgo County and caused sporadic flooding, the region’s drainage system is working effectively and waters are receding, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Thursday.
