Since the beginnings of people living in social groups millennia ago, goods have been exchanged in some form.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo International Bridge apprehended Armando Castorena Lara, a male Mexican citizen from McAllen, Texas and Arnulfo Herrera Gomez, U.S. citizen from McAllen, Texas in two separate incidents. Both had arrest warrants associated with child-related sex crimes.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrested six subjects with gang affiliations in three days.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers working at the Port of Ysleta Cargo Facility intercepted 548 pounds of liquid methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $3 million.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents interdicted four migrant smuggling events with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) resulting in 28 arrests. 

This fiscal year, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents have encountered over 20 large groups.
