Beginning fall 2018, UTRGV’s Student Teacher Education Preparation University Partnership (STEP UP) program will begin its new partnerships with McAllen ISD and Los Fresnos CISD. The partnership will open up more classrooms for teacher candidates to learn and work in a school culture. STEP UP already works in collaboration with Harlingen CISD and plans to replicate the model at other school districts. On Aug. 9, STEP UP and McAllen ISD celebrated the new partnership with a meet-and-greet function.
