The Pharr Community Theater (PCT) will have open auditions for the two-act play, Path of Marigolds by Raquel Valle-Sentíes from Laredo, Texas. -To be directed by Dalia Bouchée from Pharr & produced by Pedro Garcia, from Pharr, with PCT.
Path of Marigolds Is a two act comedy/drama set on Día de Muertos, when two middle-aged women, Ariana and Consuelo, who have been good friends since high school meet for dinner at Ariana’s home. That evening they summon the spirits of Marilyn Monroe, Frida Kahlo and Sor Juana Ines De la Cruz. Together they discuss strong and failed relationships and discover a hidden secret.
Roles are available for five women ranging in ages 26 to 55.
Auditions will be open to all wishing to try for a part, on a first come first serve basis, and will be held at the Pharr Community Theater on August 1&2 (Thursday & Friday) between 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. No appointment necessary. All roles are predominately in English with some Spanish. Audition sides and character descriptions will be provided at the theater.
Rehearsals for this production will begin August 7 through October 1 and performances will run from October 2-13, 2024 in Pharr. Tickets will go on sale for $12 and $14 as of August 12 @ www.pharrcommunitytheater.com
