MISSION, Texas – Aissa Garza, a seasoned attorney with fifteen years of experience, CPA, and Certified Fraud Examiner, has officially announced her candidacy for Judge of the newly-created Probate Court No. 2 of Hidalgo County, established by the Texas Legislature earlier this year. The creation of this court comes at a pivotal time, as the community faces a rising number of estate, guardianship, and mental health cases that require skilled, professional, and compassionate judicial oversight.

With a strong foundation in probate, civil litigation, and forensic accounting, Garza is uniquely qualified to serve as Judge of Probate Court No. 2. Her law practice focuses on probate and civil litigation matters. She also provides forensic accounting services to businesses, governmental entities, and individuals, identifying and quantifying fraud on behalf of her clients. Before founding her firm, Garza worked as a financial auditor, auditing multi-million-dollar entities.

Garza’s courtroom experience is equally robust. She has served as lead trial counsel in civil and criminal cases, demonstrating the legal acumen and trial advocacy skills essential to administer justice fairly and effectively in our courts.

The establishment of Probate Court No. 2 represents a significant milestone for Hidalgo County. The court will oversee hundreds of millions of dollars in estate assets each year and address crucial matters such as guardianships and involuntary mental health commitments—helping to streamline and expedite essential judicial proceedings for those most in need.

“My commitment is to apply the law diligently and conservatively, ensuring that Probate Court No. 2 meets the needs of families experiencing their most difficult moments,” Garza stated. The primary election is in March 2026. “I am ready to work hard to earn your trust and vote,” she added. “I believe in transparency and open dialogue. I encourage anyone with questions or concerns to reach out during my candidacy—I want to listen to the needs of our community to ensure this court serves our area with both efficiency and compassion.”
