Harlingen, Texas – The City of Harlingen announces a community-wide cleanup. The event is for residents who have unwanted bulky items. It will be held at the Harlingen Soccer Complex parking lot located at 4515 E. Harrison Ave. on Sat. July 14.
Residents can drop off unwanted furniture, appliances with no Freon, up to four-vehicle tires, and electronics. City staff and volunteers will be on hand to accept the items between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
People who want to take advantage of this free service must provide a current water bill and some form of identification. This cleanup is for residents only.
Staff will not accept hazardous waste, paint in liquid form, concrete, batteries, motor oil, or brush and tree limbs. This is a great opportunity for people to rid themselves of stuff they’ve wanted to get rid of but had nowhere to put it.
This is a free service hosted by the City’s Code Compliance Department.
