More than $500 Billion Dollars of Government Prime Contracts are Awarded to Small Businesses Each Year!
To help provide a level playing field for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged people or entities, the government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the 8(a) Business Development program. The RGV Hispanic Chamber and SBA have partnered up to offer a free workshop on Thursday, August 15th from 9
At this workshop participants will learn about the 8(a) Business Development Program, the benefits of being an 8(a) certified firm, and if you qualify for the 8(a) program.
In addition, you will learn about the 8(a) application process. If your business is owned and controlled by at least 51% or more by an economically and disadvantaged owner, have been in business for a minimum of 2 years, have a product or service you can provide to the federal government, and want to take advantage of federal contracting opportunities. Then this workshop is for you!
