AMJH choir students earn top marks at virtual competition

Mission, Texas – Members of the Alton Memorial Junior High School (AMJH) choir participated in a virtual Falcon Choir Solo Competition this past Friday, October 30. Sixteen students participated and all impressed the panel judges enough to earn the best rating possible, a Division 1. 

The students who participated and earned the top marks include:

7th Grade: Karyme Fernandez, Kayla Gaytan, Monica Zamarripa, Dannaeli Garcia, and Klarissa Tijerina.

8th Grade: Julie Escobedo, Angela Salinas, Iranny Marroquin, Harley Aleman, Kaitlyn Barron, Shamya Canchola, Lillian Felix, Stacy Molina, Ximena Bien-Aime, Maday Silva, and Leonardo Herrera.

In addition to earning the best possible rating, each of the students was also treated to a Drive up meal from Chick-fil-A.
