Harlingen, Texas – The American Airlines station at Valley International Airport in Harlingen was recognized for its excellence in customer service and was awarded the Customer Cup (2nd Quarter 2023). This marks the first time a team from the Rio Grande Valley has won the award.
Valley International Airport’s Aviation Director, Marv Esterly, stated, “We are delighted by the recognition bestowed upon the American Airlines’ team here in Harlingen. It’s been an incredibly busy season here at the airport, and we’re thankful for all of the hard work and dedication of the AA station”.
The Customer Cup is given out by American Airlines each Quarter and recognizes airport stations throughout the network that have shown excellence in different areas such as gate interactions, the boarding experience, delays and delay management, onboard interactions, baggage handling, and baggage resolution.
A special ceremony will be held on August 11, 2023, at 11:30 am. The event is to be held at the VIA Main Lobby with American Airlines executives in attendance to present the award. The media is invited to partake and cover the event.
