EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents disrupted multiple stash house operations in the Rio Grande Valley.
On Monday afternoon, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents received information regarding a residence in Rio Grande City, Texas, operating as a stash house. Agents requested the assistance from the Starr County Sheriff’s Office and upon arrival, discovered eight illegal aliens inside the home. Agents determined that the subjects to be from the countries of Mexico and Honduras.
Additionally, since Friday, Border Patrol agents discovered two other stash houses operating in Rio Grande City and Weslaco that led to the arrest of 18 illegal aliens. After interviewing the subjects, agents identified them to be from the countries of Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala.
Border Patrol will process all subjects accordingly.
For the month of August, Border Patrol Agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended 22,356 illegal aliens.
