GRANJENO, Texas — McAllen Border Patrol Station agents apprehended a man who was wanted by the McAllen Police Department (PD) for his involvement in a shooting.
On Oct. 28, at around 5:00 p.m. agents encountered an abandoned vehicle south of the City of Granjeno. A vehicle registration check revealed the owner of the vehicle was the same subject wanted by the McAllen PD. McAllen Police officers were advised and responded to the location of the abandoned car. A search for the subject in the surrounding area yielded negative results.
Later that evening, agents located the suspect east of where the vehicle was abandoned. The man was found unarmed and hiding inside an irrigation ditch. The man was taken into custody without incident and turned over to McAllen PD.
