McAllen, TX–Christopher Julian, President/ CEO of Advertir, Inc. a full service marketing & Advertising Agency was honored with The Silver Medal Award at the recent Awards Gala of the American Advertising Federation- Rio Grande Valley Chapter.
The Silver Medal Award is one of the highest awards given by the AAF and the nominee must have been in the industry for at least 25 years. Additionally, the nominee has demonstrated a consistently high degree of creative and original thinking in his/her field. The nominee has worked to raise and maintain high standards in the advertising profession.
The nominee is recognized for achieving success in media and/or advertising. The nominee has been a consistent contributor of his/her talents to improve some phase of social welfare. The nominee has consistently maintained a position of role model for those in the advertising industry.
Julian has been in the ad agency for over 36 years and previously in radio sales & TV promotion/ production for 8 years. He has served several terms as president of AAF-RGV, served on the AAF board in 2014 and for a number of years in the past.
He has been the chairman of the Media Auction a number of times over the years. His current community involvement includes service as a Board member & Community Relations Chair for the United Way of South Texas and is currently President of the McAllen Citizens League. In the past, he has served as a board member for the Valley Land Fund and the Rio Grande Food Bank.
In addition to the Silver Medal Award, Advertir, Inc. won 3 Gold Awards for 2 magazine ads for the McAllen Convention Center and a direct mail piece for Hi Tech Irrigation. Advertir also won a Gold Special Judges’Award for Hi Tech Irrigation.
