McAllen TX (November 29, 2016) – South Texas College (STC) Theatre will hold auditions for its latest comedic production of the season, Boeing Boeing.
Auditions will be held on December 6-7 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the STC Cooper Center for Communication Arts – Black Box Studio, located at 3201 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. All STC and Rio Grande Valley community members, ages 18 and over, are welcome to audition.
Boeing Boeing is a farce Set in 1960’s France. When Bernard’s friend Robert comes to Paris for a visit, he gets more than what he bargained for. Instead of getting the love advice he sought, he gets stuck in a love jam between Bernard and his three stewardess fiancés. What Robert didn’t know was that Bernard is juggling 3 women and due to airport delays, unexpected vacations, and the introduction of the new faster Boeing airplane, their perfectly timed visits overlap. With the help of Bernard’s housekeeper, Berthe, Robert and Bernard try to keep the women from meeting.
A cold reading will be available at the audition. Director Roberto De Hoyos is seeking a cast of 2 men between the ages of 20-60, and 4 women, 3 of whom will require German and French accents. Boeing Boeing is scheduled for performance at the STC Cooper Center for Communication Arts Main Stage February 23-26, 2017.
