Congressman Gonzalez Condemns President Trump’s Decision to Cut Central America Aid

Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) today issued the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump’s decision to cut off foreign assistance for Central America’s Northern Triangle.

Texas Secretary of State visits Edinburg CISD  

Texas Secretary of State David Whitley recently visited the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District and talked to students about the importance of registering to vote and civic engagement.
When UTRGV legacy alumna Margaret Medina-Olivarez, a McAllen native, asked universities around the country to send her their T-shirts so she could have a picture of her elementary school students wearing them, her request drew national attention. Olivarez has been a third-grade bilingual teacher at Pflugerville Independent School District’s Copperfield Elementary School for more than 10 years, after earning a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in education from UT Pan American.
