PHARR, Texas – The City of Pharr announces that two emergency shelters are now available for the community. The following shelters are open until further notice:
- Jose “Pepe” Salinas Recreation Center
- Location: 1011 W Kelly Ave, Pharr, TX
- Pharr Development and Research Center
- Location: 850 W Dicker Rd, Pharr, TX

- Residents are encouraged to bring I.D., medications, and blankets.
- No pets will be allowed at these shelters.
We also encourage everyone to avoid driving through flooded roads. Remember, Turn Around, Don’t Drown—your safety is our priority! Driving through flooded streets can put you and your vehicle at risk. Driving through flooded streets also creates waves that push water into homes and businesses. Please be mindful and help prevent damage. Stay safe—find an alternate route.
