This invaluable contribution was dedicated to bolster the Food Bank RGV’s upcoming Empty Bowls Luncheon and Silent Auction, proudly presented by H-E-B Hunger Relief.
The impact of this donation extends far beyond its financial value, as it directly translates into the provision of up to an additional 25,000 nutritious meals for individuals and families facing the harsh reality of hunger in the Rio Grande Valley.

The Food Bank RGV’s Empty Bowls Luncheon and Silent Auction presented by H-E-B Hunger Relief will take place on October 17, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bert Ogden Arena located in Edinburg, TX. KRGV’s Tim Smith and KTEX’s JoJo Cerda will serve as the official Emcees for the luncheon. With the price of admission, guests will enjoy delicious cuisine from over 30 local restaurants. Empty Bowls 2023 will also feature a silent auction, music, raffles, and more. Guests will also receive a unique hand-painted ceramic bowl to serve as a reminder of the hunger faced by many in the Rio Grande Valley.
