The following items were approved during the October 20, 2015 meeting of the Edinburg City Council:
- The City Council Authorized City Manager to enter into a Chapter 380 Agreement with Qube Hotel Group, LLC and Qube RGV Properties, LP to waive permit fees associated with the development of a Marriot TownPlace Suites. The hotel, a $10 million investment, will be built on property acquired from the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation off of Trenton Road.
Also, the council approved a resolution for an Airport Project Participating Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division for the construction of a new hangar that will house DPS at the South Texas International Airport at Edinburg.
