UTRGV Students Learn, Experience the World Through Study Abroad Courses

Eighteen UTRGV students were awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to fund their studies abroad this summer. This year marks the highest number of Gilman Scholarships awarded to students since the first UTRGV applications were submitted in 2017. South Texas College students Yesenia Serrato and Richard Villarreal were selected as Gilman International Scholarship recipients. This is the fourth consecutive year that STC students have been awarded this competitive, national scholarship totaling over $40,000 among 13 recipients.
