Edinburg Continues Economic and Sales Tax Growth

Edinburg continues its strong economic growth and financial gains, as indicated by recently released reports from state and local agencies. Figures released in June 2019 show that Edinburg sales tax continues to grow, increasing by 20.57% compared to the same reporting period last year.

More than 1,400 PSJA ISD Students Enrolled in Summer College Courses

Over 1,400 students from all Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA) high schools are currently taking free college courses this summer at the new PSJA College & University Center located in the corner of Ridge Rd. and Veterans Blvd. in San Juan.

Governor Abbott Takes Action To Keep Texas State Board Of Plumbing Examiners Active

Governor Greg Abbott today issued an executive order to extend the activity of the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners past its set expiration of September 1, 2019.

UTRGV sends 18 Students Abroad with help from Gilman Scholarship

Eighteen UTRGV students from across the Rio Grande Valley have been awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to fund their studies abroad this summer.

A ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference to officially celebrate the arrival of Air Med 1, a Bell 407 rotor (helicopter) ambulance, has been scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the South Texas International Airport at Edinburg, according to Hidalgo County EMS/South Texas Air Med.
