Students on the Robotics Team at McAllen ISD’s De Leon Middle School presented their project to McAllen city leaders March 2. For the project, students had to research ways to improve their community.
They came up with an indoor city park that would be inclusive for children with special needs. The team also recently won two first-place trophies for Robot Performance and the Champion’s Award at a FIRST Lego League competition.
