Incoming Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD Superintendent Dr. Jorge L. Arredondo signed a 3-year contract today after it was approved by the PSJA ISD School Board during a special called board meeting Thursday, Sept. 26 at the PSJA Early College High School Lecture Hall.

The United States Department of Education (USDE) has named Escobar/Rios Elementary School a winner of the 2019 Blue Ribbon Schools Award. Escobar/Rios Elementary is one of a select group in the State of Texas to earn this national recognition this year.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) and Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX), Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee, yesterday introduced the Continuing of Useful Resources to States (COURTS) Act to reauthorize the State Court Improvement Program (CIP), which provides formula grants to state courts to help them improve their handling of child welfare cases. The bill reauthorizes CIP for five years.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) hosted a Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its newest facility the Dr. Daniel P. King PSJA College & University Center on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019.
