Sullivan City, TX – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) announced $3,539,318 in secured federal funding for the City of Sullivan El Faro Road Flood Mitigation Project. This project will support upgrades to El Faro Road and the drainage infrastructure. It will also help alleviate areas prone to heavy flooding within the community and restore damaged infrastructure that is critical to the safety and wellbeing of the community.

U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $700,000 to Support a Multi-Purpose Community Facility in Brownsville
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $700,000 grant to the city of Brownsville, Texas, to renovate a former warehouse to create the Cannery Public Market, a multi-purpose community building in the Mitte Cultural District.
