District earns award for 11th straight year

The McAllen Independent School District Business Office has added another chapter to its long tradition of excellence. The district recently earned a prestigious international award for its comprehensive annual financial report for the 11th consecutive year.

Ceremony at the Estela Quintanilla Crime Prevention Center

Laredo, Texas – City of Laredo Council Member for District 4, Alberto Torres, Jr., led a special ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony in honor of Estela Quintanilla, whose name is now displayed on the Crime Prevention Center, located at 320 E. Agents Arrest Four Criminal Migrants

EDINBURG, Texas – McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents arrested three Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang members. They also arrested a previously convicted migrant with an outstanding warrant from Dallas, Texas. All four are citizens of El Salvador.

Baseball to Host Pair of Prospect Camps

Two Children Rescued from the Rio Grande River

LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo South Station rescued two children who were stranded in the Rio Grande River near the Chacon Creek in South Laredo.

Two Fugitives Arrested for Sex Crimes

HIDALGO, Texas—U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo International Bridge apprehended David Michael King, a male U.S. citizen and resident of Missouri and Christopher Colin, a male U.S. citizen and resident of Alton, Texas, both wanted on outstanding felony warrants for sex-related crimes.

HIDALGO, Texas—U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo International Bridge apprehended Christopher Shane Anangos, a male United States citizen from Alabama who had an arrest warrant for homicide (vehicular manslaughter).
