RGV Migrant Apprehensions Hit All-Time High in FY21
EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector (RGV) agents made 549,077 migrant encounters in Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21), accounting for 33% of all Border Patrol apprehensions nationwide. That astounding number is higher than the USBP total number of encounters for the previous two years combined.
Narcotics Seized at a Migrant Stash House
EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents made 29 arrests and seized over 230 pounds of marijuana inside a stash house located in Roma with the assistance of Starr County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). Agents also seized a gun from the driver of a migrant load vehicle at the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint.
