EDINBURG, Texas (Tuesday, Mar. 30, 2021) – Rio Grande Valley FC announced today its 32-game schedule for the 2021 USL Championship regular season. The club enters its sixth season in the USL with the return of the club’s first-ever Head Coach, Wilmer Cabrera, as Head Coach and Sporting Director.

Mission, Texas – The Texas International Produce Association (TIPA) announced a new partnership with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley (Food Bank RGV) at last week’s Viva Fresh Expo’s keynote luncheon. Food Bank RGV’s Viva Fresh Produce Pledge, “A Gift from Farms to Families” is a new program that will serve as a year-round collection effort of fresh produce donations to help food insecure communities in Texas.

Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) had four Business Professionals of America (BPA) members compete at the 2021 BPA State Leadership Conference and all four are National Qualifiers. The State Conference was held virtually on March 2 – March 6, 2021. The results are as follows:

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) Border Patrol successfully disrupted human smuggling operations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) Border Patrol agents encountered two large groups of illegal aliens. Yesterday, McAllen Border Patrol agents working near Penitas, Texas, encountered a group of 99 illegal aliens shortly after they made entry into the United States. The group consisted of 78 family members and 20 unaccompanied alien children (UACs). Six of the UACs in this group were under the age of 13.

HARLINGEN, TX – The Port of Harlingen began preliminary work for five projects for upgrades and construction as part of the Rider 38 Grant Program.
