Cornyn Bill to Address Staffing Shortages at Ports of Entry Advances in Senate

Narce Segovia of Mission, Texas, was commissioned a lieutenant junior grade in America’s Navy through the Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP) at Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio Headquarters.

The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host their annual "Legislative Report Card Luncheon" on Wednesday, July 31st at the Casa de Palmas located in McAllen from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 pm at the Business Visitor & Event Center. The candidates are running in the city’s special election to fill the vacancy of Weslaco City Commissioner District 4. No endorsements of any form will be allowed.

The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a candidates’ forum for the upcoming special city election that will take place on Tuesday, July 16. The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Weslaco Business Visitor and Event Center. The forum will be moderated by John Greider.
South Texas College has been bestowed the inaugural “Seal of Excelencia” by Washington D.C.-based Excelencia in Education. STC was the only higher education institution in the Valley to receive the designation and demonstrates success in serving Latino students according to the organization, which announced STC as the Seal’s recipient June 20.
