the 2017 International Economic Development Council’s FED Forum on Monday

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 7, 2017) – The Honorable Wilbur L. Ross, Jr., U.S. Secretary of Commerce, will address more than 250 economic development experts at the
International Economic Development Council’s 2017 FED Forum in Washington, D.C.,
on Monday, April 10.

FED Forum will be held April 9-11 at the Washington Court Hotel. Secretary Ross is the keynote speaker for the event’s luncheon on Monday. For decades, IEDC has presented the event which focuses exclusively on federal economic development programs and policies. With more than 5,000 members, IEDC is the largest professional membership organization for economic developers.

Several key reports will be released at the FED Forum, including the Federal Review, which examines notable economic development-focused federal events and legislation from the previous year. The Federal Directory, which lists key federal officials, Members of Congress and Congressional staffers whose work impacts economic development policy and programs, will also be released.

banking and private equity.

Secretary Ross previously served as a privatization advisor for New York City Mayor
Rudy Giuliani and was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve on the board of the U.S.-Russia Investment Fund. He was named by Bloomberg Markets as one of the 50 most influential people in global finance and has received numerous international awards and recognitions.
