The McAllen Heritage Center Board of Directors invite you to support the 13thannual “Chuckwagon Dinner” fundraiser.  The McAllen Heritage Center announced that the event is once again partnering with Tony Roma’s of McAllen to bring you an evening of your choice June 1 through September 30, 2019 (Excluding Father’s Day) to enjoy a delicious steak dinner with all the trimmings for two and a bottle of house wine for only $50.00 per ticket.  All funds raised will benefit the McAllen Heritage Center whose mission is to preserve and enhance McAllen’s history and culture.   

The Chuckwagon Dinner, one of the McAllen Heritage Center museum’s major fundraisers, began in 2006 in conjunction with PalmFest Folklife Celebration.  The event was originally held at the festival and then at the museum located in downtown McAllen until 2014 when the event first partnered with Tony Roma’s of McAllen.  This partnership has helped make the event even more successful for the museum because supporters are able to choose a convenient day to have this great dinner during the ticket redemption period. 

MHC is very grateful to our many friends and supporters of the Chuckwagon Dinner and other museum fundraisers throughout the years.  It is through your ongoing patronage that our mission has been successful as we enter our 11thyear of service to the community and Region.  MHC continues to expand history exhibits and also offer ongoing art exhibits by local artists at the “Artist’s Corner”.  Regular exhibit openings and receptions along with children’s activities, concerts and other events are posted on our museum calendar located on our website and on our facebook page.
