MCALLEN, Nov. 3, 2025 — The Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen(HECM) invites the community, including high school and transfer students, to attend its fall Open House event on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will give future Aggies and their families the opportunity to:
● Explore 10 undergraduate degree programs
● Tour the state-of-the-art facility
● Meet students, professors and staff members
● Discover campus services and resources
● Receive help with the application process.

“Our Open House event gives local students, educators and families the opportunity to explore Aggieland in the Rio Grande Valley,” said Ernie Aliseda ‘88, associate vice president and chief operating officer of Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen. “It’s a great chance for prospective students to visit our campus, learn about our academic programs and resources, and discover how they can earn the same prestigious Texas A&M degree and Aggie Ring as students in College Station — all while staying close to home.”
Guests are encouraged to register at tx.ag/OpenHouseHECM. The Open House will take place at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen at 6200 Tres Lagos Blvd., McAllen, TX 78504.
