Come and learn about the life of the Lakota, Sioux, Medicine Man & Chief, the great Native American, Sitting Bull, who lived his life between 1831 and 1890. This poetic, poignant monologue/poem will be educational and entertaining, with performances in both English and Spanish. With a full costume designed by Victoria Magallanes, from Dallas, and a Make-shift set-design by Jennifer Garcia, from Edinburg. Directed by Pedro Garcia from Pharr.

Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota leader who led his people during years of resistance against United States government policies. Born in 1831 in South Dakota, he died on December 15, 1890 at the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, that lies across the border between North and South Dakota. PCT will present a monologue based on his life, outdoors, in Pharr, May 20 at the Downtown Amphi Theater & May 27 at the Pharr/Vanguard Nature & Bird Center. Both shows start at 7:00 pm. Free admission.

Antonio Castillo from Mission will perform first in English, followed by Genaro Escobedo in Spanish. During a short intermission, between the two performers, recorded native American chants and music will be played. The whole show is under one hour duration. Bring all the family, enjoy and take pictures! The shows rating is equivalent to a PG-13.

Visitors are encouraged to wear face coverings and to practice social distancing.
